Well, we got official notification, that Samantha and I are in the Spring show at Mount Dora on March 24th. and 25th. So, now time to get to work. I have decided to get mind in a better place and concentrate on what I love doing, sewing and designing. I have spent way too much time lately worrying and be depressed. I am taking back control of my life and getting productive again. Thank you everyone so much for all your support, it means so much too me.
So far this week, I have been making some Olde Barn Cats, I love these guys. Found a basket to sit them in and put a sign with them. So far, I have finished 9 of them. Luckily it has been nice and sunny, so they dry fairly fast.

Next got out a pattern from Maureen from Sweet Meadows farm and made up bunch of the little bears, these sold really well at the last show. I grunge them up somewhat and gave them each a name. I am using up some of the fur I have collected over the years. I think my favorite are the lighter ones.
I spent the day, tracing out doll bodies and tonight going to be have a stuffing marathon. So I should be posting a lot more often now.
Samantha is busy working on tarts and she now has new website graphics up, I put a link to website at the top of my page.
Well, back to work, and look for more of my items to posted this week.

Sandy, it's so good to see that you've been creating again. I think you are right to keep your hands and mind busy!
ReplyDeleteThose barns cats are a hoot! We briefly had a "yellow kitty" and the one in the basket reminds me of him. Hubs called him "Puss" cause of the movie! lol and the bears are darling too! You girls will be busy as bees. Love Sam's new name and site. I'm loving her triple scented tarts. Just placed another order.
Hugz to ya~

Hi, Sandy:
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful the cats and bears are. You did an awesome job on the bears, they aren't easy to make. I love what you did, you know I love your dollies but it's fun to see these critters.
I'm glad you finally got the confirmation about the show. Samantha mentioned on her blog that you didn't have the final word, so that's good news.
I hope you're well and you're doing the right thing taking back your emotions and doing what you are so very good at.
Hugs,
Susan
