A Great Gift from Samantha and Snow flurries

Well, we had a great Christmas, Samantha surprised me with a quilt she made for me. I love it, she used chickens and coordinating fabrics. I am really touched by this, this was the first quilt she tackled and she did a great job on it. Now I have something to cover up with on the couch. She also got me pajamas, blow dryer, socks and a prim doll. She also made up Todd and I stockings this year. It was so sweet of her to do that.

Todd bought new a cookware set, pajamas, housecoat, chicken decor items and a juicer. I am going to learn to eat a lot healthier this year.

We were getting ready to go to Joann's and Carmen took her dog out and said there is snow flurries, but of course no one believed her. And sure enough, there were a few floating in the air,
if you look close enough you can see them on my coat.
Yep, Florida snow, a few flurries and then it is all over. It was only 38 degrees while we shopping today. Spent way too much money at Joann's. Of course found some fabric just had to have, then we stopped at Walmart, bought too much of the Christmas markdowns, now where to put them.

Christmas with the family. Samantha and Chris. They make a cute couple.

Samantha and Chris, opening their light. One the dogs won't knock over.

My baby girl all grown up.

It is funny, Carmen bought me candle and a chicken. I also got her a chicken. I gave her candle tarts. I guess we must like the same things.

Our Christmas turkey breasts. We did two this year. I watch Gordon Ramsey's Christmas and tried it his way. We loosened the skin from the breast and rubbed a butter herb mixture under the skin and then rub olive oil over the turkey, then covered with maple flavored bacon. Let cook and smelled so good. Turkey was really moist.

We had to put the food on the kitchen counter and take out plates to the table. I have a small farmhouse table that doesn't hold much.

Hurley and Harley crashed after dinner.

Chris being silly with the dogs. Notice Buddy is still on back on the couch.

Carmen being silly.

making the Cherry Delight, everyone loved it. Samantha had to have the recipe.

Carmen and her dog Bristol.

We had a wonderful Christmas with Samantha and Chris. It was great having Carmen here this year. She is a big part of the family. Hope she comes back next year.
Samantha and I have been busy brainstorming on new patterns, she is going to have a lot of Valentines patterns and Easter patterns coming soon. She is going to have stitchery and sewing patterns. She is hoping to do the Calico Show in the Spring and get a booth next to Carmen.
So as I get the house back in order and a couple of orders out of the way. I am going to start designing again. Have to have my chemo on Wednesday, but other than that, I hope I can get to my cleaning and decluttering that I do every year after Christmas.
Hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas.
