Well, I finally got those nodder snowmen done. I was able to get all 9 finished up yesterday. I have 5 more springs. So I am cutting out 5 more bodies and getting them finished up this week.
These are fun to make, I purchased a bunch of springs on ebay and wanted to use them up and I am using a pattern from Sassafras Hill Primitives.
Next,, are 5 black dolls done, they are from a pattern from Chestnut junction. These are quick and easy to do, no face or hair.
This pattern I have had for quite a while it is called Olde Stockings by The Smiling Goat, I made these up and really liked the way they turned out. I have a few more to out drying and will hopefully get them dried and work on them tonight while watching Hell's Kitchen (one of my favorite shows).
I have about 9 more pumpkin and crows sewed up and turned, just have to turn them. I am really getting nervous about the show, everyone says it is very well attended. We ended up finding a place that rents rooms by the week only, it is cheaper for us to book that place, than it is to pay for 5 nights at another motel.
well, back to work, pumpkins and crows to paint and hopefully the weather will stay nice and hot for the next few days.
Wow, Sandy ~ you always get so much accomplished. I love all of them and wish you the best at your show. Your prims are fantastic so I'm thinking you will do very well. Thanks for your help on the molds.
ReplyDeletehugs,
Pam

WOWZERS....you make me feel like such a slacker!!! Everything looks great and it sounds like you're going to have a fantastic booth at this show!!!
ReplyDeleteYou certainly have been busy!
ReplyDeleteI know you will do well at the show!
I can't imagine getting that much inventory done, but then for War Eagle, I know you will need everything you can get made. I love shopping there and at all the surrounding shows. A friend and I hit 7 shows in and around War Eagle in three days! Participating in one of the shows near there is on my "bucket list".
ReplyDeleteI love the nodder snowmen. When we moved into our rental there were (still are) 3 sets of those old springs. One still had a tag from Montgomery Wards on it. I need to find myself a pattern and do something with them.
ReplyDeleteYou do fantastic work. I imagine you must have one heck of an inventory.
Take care and happy creating,
Debbie
I just love your snowmen. A friend of mine from work gave me about 20-30 old bed springs a few weeks ago and I am trying to make things out of them like yours but since I don't sew, I am trying to come up with other ideas of what to use.
ReplyDeleteI should have those dolls. They are wonderful. You are a very talented crafter.
Best of luck to you at your show.
Blessings,
AMY
