Raggedy Dolls

Just wanted to share what I have been doing all weekend. I love making raggedy dolls, these are from a RaggBagg babys pattern. I am getting my inventory up for my shows in the fall. I have 4 big shows planned and have to get started early in order to have enough made. I managed to get 15 of these done in past few days.
I got my invitation to do the show in War Eagle, Arkansas. It is a 4 day show. I am so excited. I have been wanting to do that show for a while now. My daughter has been busy doing stitcherys for me and garlands. She helps me on her days off from work and school.
I am going fabric shopping tomorrow. Luckily we have a super sized Joann's in the next town. Our Walmart recently stopped carrying fabric and makes it hard, when you need something in a hurry. Now I have to travel about an hour to get to a fabric store.
I am still working on orders from my last ad in Country Sampler, I am still selling Christmas items finished and lots of patterns from both sites. I have many new ideas to make into patterns, but have to find the time.
I have been spending a lot of time with my mom now. She has multiple Scleroris and mostly in bed now. She can't use her lower part of her body at all. We are trying therapy but not having much luck. Her legs are bending and freezing up now. She hasn't been able to walk in many years now and can hardly sit in a wheelchair now. I hate seeing her lying there, she can't see well enough to read and isn't able to do much at all. It is so sad to see your parents getting older and not being able to do anything about it.
Well, it is getting late and thanks for checking in.

  1. Just wanted to tell you that I love your blog and your patterns! It sounds like you are a very busy lady!Good luck with the upcoming show! The dolls you made are so cute!
    Prim hugs,

  2. Very nice dolls. It looks like you have been very busy. Great work, and good luck on your upcoming venture.

  3. Such cute dolls. I just found your blog & really enjoy it. Love your patterns.

  4. I pray that your mom gets better- I took care of my Mom when she was wheel chair bound.
Try to make some time for yourself too- I know this sounds like it is hard to do- but set aside an hour for yourself every day- it will ease the stress your are going through.
