Giveaway for Christmas

HI Everyone,
I wanted to do one last giveaway before Christmas. I am giving 5 of these this time. It is a feather tree that stands about 18" tall, and 10 packs of tarts. I have an assortment of tarts in this giveaway, my newest zuchinni bread, cinnamon bread, weathered crow, and of course my cornbread, kettle korn and others. Rules are you have to be a member of my blog, leave a comment and I will have hubby pick the winners on Wednesday night.

I am so behind on getting everything done this year. Still not feeling well, my stomach has been awful this week. I thought maybe that problem had been taken care of, my doctor seemed to think the chemo was working, but I am worrying again, my stomach hasn't hurt in months and now it has been a week. I see my doctor on Wednesday.

Spent the day with Samantha, 2 of her bridesmaids and Chris and his mom on Saturday. We ate lunch at Ruby Tuesday's and then went to Dave's Bridal and she found the wedding dress she wanted, So we went ahead and bought. We also went to the White room in St. Augustine to see about renting the room for the reception and ceremony. I thought I would faint when they said it was 11,000 dollars just to rent the room for 4 hours. Needless to say, they are looking at something else, I can't see spending that much money to rent a place, it is a down payment on something. But at least she got her dress.

I was able to finish up a couple of orders to day. A Gingerbread Annie Doll and the set of Holiday bobbins. I still have 2 dolls to make by Wednesday and then I am done for the year. Have already sketched out some new patterns for the new year.

Carmen will be coming down for a few days around Christmas, I am really looking forward to that. We are going to be comparing recipes and getting our plans started for our open house next year.

Well, be sure to sign up for my giveaway and thanks for reading my blog.

  2. I hope you are well soon..I can't say I know how you feel because I don't but will be praying that you are well soon.
I would be honored to have one of your feather trees.
Most of my Christmas decorations are still in storage in AL but we did bring our prelit tree and have some ornies from a swap in my group. I just went to $ tree and bought a few garland ropes and I got red and the 2 I got also had green balls on them so it looks nice for when my daughter comes on the train from Chicago on the 23rd.
I miss having my kids come home for Christmas but we just can't afford to live up in N part of state any more unless DH gets a job..he will be 70 on 20th and I think he just needs to stay retired.
Have a great week and I hope I win one of your trees and DH LOVES tarts as much as I do :)

  11. Sandy,
I just lost the other comment I made(how sad), but I wanted to tell you that I am a huge fan of yours and follow your blog very often. I love what you are kindly giving away, and I would love it if you could enter me in your giveaway.
Sandy, prednisone has many, many side effects and I can tell you first hand that the extreme weakness and nausea are just but a few symptoms of this medication. Don't get discouraged, I truly believe you are having side effects from the meds. I will continue praying for you.
I wish you and your family a very blessed Christmas, and that the dear Lord give you a very healthy new year.

  14. Hi Sandy,
Sorry you are not feeling well. Hope your doc can do something to help your stomack. I know chemo can do all kinds of things to your body, my mom went through it.
It's just rediculous how much they charge to rent a place for weddings! When businesses hear the word wedding they think thats a license to charge outragious prices because they know some people will pay it. I'm sure there are a lot of other very nice places to have Samantha's wedding.
Oh, please enter me in your giveaway.
    Keeping you in my prayers,
    Jean

  35. Hi Sandy
I wish there was something I could do or say to put your mind at ease. The side effects of your treatments are horrible and can really put a toll on your body. Are the docs giving you any meds to help with them? A great one to ask for is Zofran...it helps almost instantly and does not make you tired or anything else.

Through all you have been through and all you are dealing with now it is so thoughful of you to have this giveaway and think of us...your fans...at this point in your life!

Many Blessings and hugs going your way!

  48. Sandy....I've been thinking of you often and wondering how you are feeling! My mom put off her next treatment until after the new year. She had pneumonia this month and just didn't want to feel bad at Christmas. I feel for you, going through your treatments.

$11,000!!! That is just ridiculous! I've been to fancy weddings and I've been to ones that the receptions have been held in American legion and firehouse halls and those have been just as nice and actually a little more fun! Like you said, that could be a down payment of something for their future life together rather than just a single day event. So happy Samantha found her dress though!!

    Take care and get rest!!!
