Where does all the time go, it seems like this week as just flown by. I will have all the new patterns ready tomorrow night. My husband has been off this week and been using the computer alot, trying to get everything ready to do taxes. So when he is home, I don't get the computer as much. I am working on a new scarecrow. I went and finished his head, I wasn't sure if I liked it or not, so did his head and I like him, so now onto the body. I needed some raffia to finish his head and of course, I know I have a lot of bunches of raffia somewhere, but of course I can't find them, so his hair is a little skimpy. But hopefully Walmart will have some when I go this weekend. I noticed they are marking down all those stryofoam, birds, nest and such. Hope that doesn't mean they won't be carrying those supplies anymore, and of course, no stuffing in the box anywhere to be found.
It has gone alot easier than I thought it would with Samantha moving out, she still comes by once a day and calls, so it is not too bad. She is dating a new guy who is spoiling her, but she deserves it, she has had some real losers in the past. So hoping this works out for her, she seems really happy and that is what matters.
So check back tomorrow night, I should have some the new patterns ready.
I can't wait to see what you've come up with now! We're coming to Starke this weekend and I'll be staying all of next week at my dad's house, so hopefully, you'll be seeing a lot of me!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute face. The Walmart here in Pekin Il. has cut back on their crafts and rumor has it they will quit carry material. We only have Hobby Lobby and Walmart in our town that carry material and craft things looks like I might have to shop out of town.
ReplyDeleteHi Sandy! Scarecrow is great! Our WalMart doesn't handle any craft items anymore...so, I am shopping out of town or the internet now. We have Hobby Lobby, however, their prices are so high and they don't handle some of the things I like. Right now, I am not buying any new supplies. I need to use what I have on hand, however, I have trouble finding the things I need in my house...I am a packrat. lol! I am proud of you and the way that you are handling your daughter being gone! You are doing great! I am thrilled with my "Puppy Love" door greeter! Thank you, thank you! Take Care and God Bless! Donna, gmills4@suddenlink.net
ReplyDeleteHi Sandy, I'll have to check out my Walmart, it is on Normandy Blvd off 301 coming into Jax. They have kinda put their craft stuff all over the store. I've seen the big boxes of stuffing there before and I'll check on that too. I know you know where Green Cupboard is in Jax, and on the next road over on Old St. Augustine Rd. there is a Hobby Lobby.
ReplyDeleteI really like the Scare Crow. Can't wait to see more of your new items.
Take care,

Yeah, it is really nice to see you working on a new scarecrow. He's awesome, and I can't wait to get the pattern.
ReplyDeleteYou design the cutest characters, thank you!!!
Oh Sandy I feel your pain about Samantha. When my kids left I was suffering from empty nest but after a while it eases. What I feel even more is that your daughter found someone who spoils her. My daughter, a pretty blonde as well has had those same losers.....We just "helped" her boyfriend leave lol. I hope that she can find someone to spoil her too!!! Love your stuff and posts by the way.
ReplyDeleteMichelle
you can bet your bottom dollar that wal-mart won't have that stuff anymore. all wal-marts nationwide are doing away with craft items. that leaves us with joann's and michaels.
ReplyDeleteLove your patterns! I think that puppy love is one of the cutest I've seen yet!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing!

I love that scarecrow! Most have cute faces, but I love the prim face you made for this one!
ReplyDeleteYes, sad but true... Walmart crafts/fabrics are leaving us. I can remember back in high school when I first got into crafting-- Walmart was my shopping choice. Sad, sad, sad.
