Wow, can't believe it has been 3 since I last posted, where does the time go. I have been so busy trying to finish those scarecrows. My husband finally got a chance to make a backing for the frames I had bought from Carmen's husband, today. He cut over 40 backs for frames today. He was out there early this morning, I woke up to the sound of the saw. I still have several more to paint and put the picture in. It started thunderstorming after I start painting and had to rush everything in the house. I would have had them all done except for the weather today. These have always been good sellers for me, I buy the wallpaper border paper and cut at the repeat. You can anywhere from 8-10 from a roll of border paper. I have found some great deals on ebay lately for the paper.
I printed some feedsack prints off on my muslin again. These are more a vintage type of feedsack. I really like these. I stuff them with sawdust and they have a nice weight to them.
Today was like Christmas, I got two packages from UPS. I had a bunch of fragrance oil ordered and I got my candlelight kits for the jar lamps. Should be able to start on them this weekend. My friend Becky from Orlando is in town. She is coming over to have me help her make a sock monkey for little grandson. She had bought the kit up in the mountains. It has been awhile since I made one. I had a set of socks around here, I need to dig out and make one for myself.
I had a nice talk with Deb (Crows on the Cupola) she called me today and sounds like a very sweet person. It was nice talking with her. We talked about shows, crafting and life with parents and in-laws. She said it was in the 60's up there in Minnesota. It was so hot here today that everything I painted, dried in 5 minutes or less. That is the only good part of the hot weather we have.
