Well, I did manage to get the stocking patterns drawn out, I added a smaller version. You will find them in the share box on the side. I also included some of the graphics I used on the stockings. I printed my graphics on muslin that had the freezer pattern ironed to it. I just ran it through my printer. Remember if you are using the transfer paper, you will need to reverse the image.
I finished up 3 of my Candy Cane Annie dolls today. I have 5 more i need to sew up and get done. Hope to have lots of Raggedy Ann dolls done this year. I took advantage of the 95 degrees plus we had today and sprayed them down with coffee/water mixture and let the sun dry them for me, it only took a little bit of time.
I feel a little bit sad tonight, my daughter is starting to make noises about moving out, she is 19. She is my only child. I feel real teary-eyed tonight. I just can't imagine her not being here every night. Not knowing if she made it home at night safely. At that age they think they are invincible. I just hope it is all talk right now, I know it is going to happen some time soon, but I don't want my baby to grow up. Time is just going so fast. I don't get to spend enough time with her now, she works 40 hours plus a week, plus has a boyfriend and lots of friends. She is not home much now as it is. But I treasure the time when she is home. Now I know how my parents felt when I left home.
These are a smaller version of the larger stocking. I haven't got these quite finished yet. I still need to add the jute hanger and jute bow w/ jingle bell to the front of them.

Thanks for sharin the stocking pattern & graphics!
ReplyDeleteIt is hard to let your children move out- but I am sure she will be fine if she does move out- she has a great Mom that I am sure has raised her well!!
I can understand how you are feeling, I had those same feelings when my two older daughters moved out. My eldest was 22 and the middle daughter was also 19. My youngest still lives at home 'part-time', she is 27, lol. She has it too good to ever leave.
ReplyDeleteThank you once again for sharing your patterns with your readers - ((hugs))

Thanks for sharing a great holiday pattern, I want to make some to place in my new home for our 2 christmas here, I bought another tree for this big house. I am going to enjoy these.
ReplyDeleteI know how you feel, my oldest is a junior in HS, not many years left and I am starting to feel the oh no it won't be long, I can't think about it. It sounds like you two have a close relationship, remember she loves you.
Thanks so much for sharing the holiday patterns with us...your awesome!!
ReplyDeleteIt is really tough when they want to move out...yes there is a lot of worry...always wondering if they are ok. Try not to worry too much...they will always come back and sometimes it makes your relationship even stronger!!
I know how you feel about your daugther moving away from home. I had a hard time when both of my daughters moved out. My youngest moved out about 8 months ago...it was really hard on me as first, but it did get better. She actually missed me alot and comes over to hang out each week on one of her days off. She also calls me alot. We've been going shopping together alot...I think I see her more now than when she lived at home. So try not to worry too much...I just know that it will all work out fine.
ReplyDeleteThanks again for sharing your wonderful patterns with us.
hugs, Cindy

ReplyDeleteThanks for another great pattern and have a great weekend! Michelle
ReplyDeleteAwww I feel your tears Sandy :( Went through that myself with each one of my daughters when they went off to college. It's rough at first, but then, you find they are like lil' boomer-rangs! The minute they get a wee taste of what it REALLY is like away from home, they come back every chance they get, hehe. Even after they get married! Hang in there!
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing your adorable stockings and graphics. Wonderful package toppers! :)
